Dubai Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) has issued its 50th Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) license to the tokenized asset platform Tribe Tokenisation FZE.

VARA stated that holding a valid license does not necessarily mean the company has completed commercial launch, and newly licensed companies may need to undergo a controlled operation phase before providing services or accepting clients.
As of the end of 2025, VARA classified 39 licensed VASPs as fully operational, with updated data for 2026 still being verified.
For comparison, the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) currently lists 37 major payment institutions authorized to provide Digital Payment Token (DPT) services, while the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission lists 13 formally licensed virtual asset trading platforms.
