EBA Proposes Crypto Issuer Fines Up to 12.5% of Annual Revenue

The European Banking Authority proposed sanctions that could fine non-compliant crypto issuers up to 12.5% of annual revenue. Significant ART issuers could face penalties up to 12.5%, while significant EMT issuers could face fines up to 10%. The public consultation ends on Sept. 28. The temporary MiCA grace period is set to expire on July 1.
