US media: US and Iran agree to stop mutual attacks, will meet in Qatar this week

Golden Finance reported on June 29 that, according to AXIOS, a senior US official said that the United States and Iran have agreed to stop attacking each other, and the two sides plan to meet on Tuesday in Doha, the capital of Qatar, to resolve disputes concerning the Strait of Hormuz.
Previously, just 11 days after the ceasefire memorandum was signed, both sides launched attacks again, while Trump threatened to restart the war and "get the job done," making the situation precarious.
A senior US official said, "We have decided to stop all military operations," here using the military's terminology for attacks and other offensive actions.
According to a source familiar with the talks, the meeting originally scheduled for Tuesday in Switzerland was intended to address Iran's nuclear program issues, but after the escalation, the meeting location was changed and refocused on the Strait of Hormuz.
According to a US official and informed sources, Nick Stewart, who is in charge of the US technical team, is expected to attend the talks. (Jin Shi)
