Jinse Finance reports that on June 29, the Iraqi Foreign Minister said that he is willing to mediate between the US and Iran to end the war.

Speaking at a joint press conference in Baghdad with the Iranian Foreign Minister, the Iraqi Foreign Minister said: “Iraq maintains good relations with both the US and Iran, and we are prepared to cooperate with both sides to resolve this conflict.”

He also said that Iraq had previously successfully established a cooperative relationship between Iran and the US.

He pointed out that although Iran and the US signed a memorandum of understanding, the conflict in the Strait of Hormuz is still ongoing.

He said: “The war must end because it will lead to the destruction of the entire region, not just one country.” (Russian Satellite Network)
