WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said on social media on the 28th that since June 21, Europe has recorded more than 1,300 excess deaths related to hot weather. The number of excess deaths refers to the difference between the estimated total number of deaths in a specific location and period and the expected number of deaths in the absence of a health crisis.
