According to Wu, the EVM layer 2 network Etherlink on the Tezos ecosystem announced that its EVM Bridge has encountered a security attack attempt. As a precaution, the team has suspended all cross-chain transfers to protect user funds. The official statement indicates that no funds have been lost at this time, and they are collaborating with LayerZero, Asymmetric Research, and Zeeve to investigate and mitigate the risks. The timeline for restoration has not yet been announced.

I hope it won't be like some projects where "pause" turns into "permanent". Hope it recovers soon.

Cross-chain bridges are truly an eternal challenge—pausing is better than forcing yourself to push through; user safety comes first.

Asymmetric Research has gotten involved, it seems this attack method is quite something, waiting for a technical post-mortem.

Etherlink's response speed is acceptable, and the suspension of transfers was decisive. Just wait for the official follow-up.

Tezos ecosystem finally managed to get an EVM Layer 2, but encountered a setback right from the start, which is really bad luck.

Luckily no money lost, but recovery time is uncertain, and those who need funds urgently will suffer.
