Mars Finance News reports that on June 28, during a visit to Iraq, Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi said, according to Al Jazeera, that the Strait of Hormuz will be completely controlled by Iran within the next 30 days. “I have informed the Iraqi Foreign Minister of the latest results of the war imposed on Iran, as well as the relevant progress of the memorandum of understanding signed between Iran and the United States. Over the next 30 days, the Strait of Hormuz will still be fully supervised and managed by Iran. After all obstacles are removed, the full transit capacity of this waterway will be restored. This is precisely the direction we are working toward. This responsibility is borne by Iran. In this regard, there is no other party or country. This has been clearly stipulated in the memorandum of understanding. Any interference or any unilateral action will lead to the deterioration of the situation and delay the reopening of the strait.”
