** 【Caixin】** “This year’s market has, to a large extent, been jointly influenced by the AI and technology industry boom, as well as the situation in the Middle East.” On June 25, while attending the Asian Logistics Biennial in Shanghai, James Evans, Commercial General Manager of Cathay Cargo, said this when sharing an analysis of market trends with media including Caixin.

The rapid development of AI will drive transportation demand for related infrastructure components. Because these goods have certain particularities and high requirements for delivery timeliness, air transport is more suitable for them.

Evans said that this year, global AI infrastructure investment will see a significant expansion, with the investment focus concentrated on the hardware sector, and aviation logistics service providers such as Cathay Cargo are key carriers in the global distribution chain for this hardware.
