Qualcomm receives orders from Meta and Microsoft, targets data center revenue exceeding $15 billion in fiscal year 2029

【Caixin】 Qualcomm is focusing on the data center market. At the 2026 Investor Day held on June 25, Qualcomm (NASDAQ: QCOM) released an agentic AI data center product roadmap, including the data center CPU Qualcomm Dragon™ C1000, the high-bandwidth compute chip HBC (High Bandwidth Compute), the AI inference chip Dragon™ AI300 and connectivity products, as well as custom chip solutions.

Qualcomm announced that it has reached a partnership with Meta and will become its multi-generation data center CPU supplier. Meta’s next-generation server cluster is planned to run on the Dragon C1000. The chip has 250 cores, and Qualcomm said it delivers 2 times the performance per watt compared with existing server CPU competitors in benchmark tests, with mass production planned for 2028.
