There are plenty of people who get liquidated on futures contracts, so why do so many still jump in?

Actually, it's just two words: thrill $USD1
Futures trading lets you leverage a small margin to control a large amount of capital. With even a slight price movement, your account balance skyrockets, making it feel like financial freedom is right around the corner.
Not to mention, you can make money whether prices go up or down—how attractive is that?
Coin price drops? Shorting still makes you money. $ETH
News is flying around the market, and everyone thinks they can "predict" the next move, in and out fast, as if making money is just a moment away.
Then you see others posting their results: doubling in three days, buying a car in a week—who wouldn't be tempted?
But what you don't see are the silent tears behind the far more numerous liquidations.

High leverage is a double-edged sword: it feels great when you win, but you lose just as fast, and your account can go to zero in an instant.

Don't let futures trading become your whole life.

High leverage is just the casino rake; gamble long enough and you'll inevitably lose. It's truly better to sleep soundly with spot DCA (dollar-cost averaging).

The silent cost of liquidation is too high, and those who show their records are always the result of survivorship bias.
