Trump Announces New US Attack on Iran, Threatens "Iran Will No Longer Exist"
United States President Donald Trump announced that the US military has again launched attacks against Iran in response to alleged ceasefire violations by Tehran. Trump also issued a harsh threat that Iran "will no longer exist" if the United States can no longer be reasonable in dealing with Iran's actions.
Through a post on Truth Social, Trump stated that US fighter jets have attacked several missile and drone storage sites as well as Iran's coastal radar installations. According to him, the operation was carried out in response to Iran's actions of again attacking commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, despite both countries having previously agreed to a ceasefire.
Trump also warned that Washington is still trying to be rational, but that patience has limits. "There may come a point when we are no longer able to be reasonable. If that happens, the Islamic Republic of Iran will no longer exist."
The statement marks the latest escalation in the conflict that has reignited after a series of retaliatory attacks between the two countries. On the other hand, Iran condemned the US attack and warned of further retaliation if American military actions continue.
