Yau Ying-wah goes to Shanghai to promote Hong Kong's advantages as a platform for mainland enterprises to go global.

Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Algernon Yau, set off for Shanghai this afternoon before his departure, to attend the “Hong Kong—Helping Innovative Technology Enterprises in East China Set Sail for the World” sharing and exchange session organized by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government’s “Mainland Enterprises Going Global Task Force,” promoting Hong Kong as a platform with advantages for mainland enterprises to expand into overseas markets.

Algernon Yau will also meet with local enterprises to promote exchanges and cooperation.

Algernon Yau will return to Hong Kong on Tuesday (30). During his absence, the Acting Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development will be Deputy Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Bernard Chan.
