When the colony grows to the point where a super needs to be added, we need to pay attention to the placement of the combs. In addition to ensuring the proper bee space, the brood combs and honey combs in the upper and lower boxes should be aligned. This not only facilitates the bees' movement up and down within the hive, but also enhances ventilation of the hive. If the brood combs in the brood chamber are placed on the left side, while the honey combs in the super are placed on the right side, worker bees may build burr combs in the space above the brood combs, attempting to connect the entire hive into one piece. This will affect the management of the hive and the living habits of the bees.

4. A divider board should be placed on the outside of the hive to block light.
In the beehive, in addition to placing the combs, it is also necessary to use dummy boards to provide shading and insulation for the hive.
Bees prefer a dark and cool hive environment. Therefore, covering the hive with a quilt to reduce light exposure, placing the combs close to the hive walls, and using external dummy boards for shading can effectively block light and also provide insulation, creating a suitable living environment for the bees.
