Mars Finance News, June 28 - According to CNBC, on Saturday, an oil tanker in the Strait of Hormuz was hit by shelling, marking the latest escalation in the renewed tensions between the U.S. and Iran, following a provisional agreement aimed at ending hostilities in the region. The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations said a vessel in the strait was struck by an "unidentified flying object," causing damage to the hull, but the crew was reported to be safe. Bahrain also condemned Iran's drone attack on Saturday, calling it a "blatant violation" of its sovereignty. These new attacks come as the U.S. and Iran were supposed to be in a 60-day ceasefire negotiation, with both sides in talks to end the war. However, each country has accused the other of violating the terms of the agreement.
