Weather丨The Observatory expects heavy rain in some areas in the next one to two hours.

The Observatory issued a special weather tip at 8:25 a.m., stating that the thunderstorm area southwest of Hong Kong is gradually approaching, and it is expected that rainfall in some parts of Hong Kong will be heavier in the next one to two hours. It reminds the public to pay attention to the latest weather information from the Observatory and to be aware of weather changes when engaging in outdoor activities.

The Observatory said that showers and thunderstorms associated with a trough of low pressure are affecting the coast of Guangdong and the northern part of the South China Sea.

The Observatory forecasts that today's weather in Hong Kong will be mostly cloudy with occasional showers and a few squally thunderstorms. Initially, rainfall will be heavier in some areas. The daytime maximum temperature is about 31 degrees Celsius. Light to moderate south to southwest winds are expected. Looking ahead, there will still be showers tomorrow. In the midweek, there will be sunny intervals, and the weather will gradually become very hot, with one or two showers.
