The conflict in the Middle East has pushed up fuel prices. The two power companies have raised the July fuel adjustment fee. HK Electric (02638) and CLP (00002) announced that from August to October this year, they will offer special electricity subsidies and rebates to eligible residential customers. HK Electric will provide a subsidy of 8 cents per kWh per month to residential customers with monthly electricity consumption of 450 kWh or less; CLP will provide a 'Fuel Cost Special Rebate' of 8 cents per kWh to residential customers with electricity consumption of 900 kWh or less per bill. ...
