The St. Louis Blues have bolstered their defensive corps with the acquisition of Brandon Carlo from the Toronto Maple Leafs. In exchange for a pair of third-round draft picks, the Blues get a reliable, physical defenseman who will help solidify their blue line. Carlo, 26, has spent his entire six-year career with the Maple Leafs, recording 17 goals and 71 assists in 408 games.
