ASIC Extends Digital Asset License Transition to September 30, 2026

ASIC extended its no-action position for digital asset enterprises under the new licensing framework to September 30, 2026. Digital asset companies providing financial services can continue to apply for or modify AFS licenses during the period. The extension also covers institutions that need a market license or CS license. ASIC said it has received approximately 30 license applications since the INFO 225 guidance update in October 2025.
