# This round of market correction has hurt many people. But the reason for losing money is often not about misreading the direction—
it's mistaking short-term volatility for a trend reversal, and treating a bounce as the return of a bull market.
What the market excels at is offering a glimmer of hope when you're on the verge of despair,
and then coldly withdrawing all warmth just as you reignite your expectations.
Many newcomers think that those who have survived bull and bear markets rely on precise predictions.
But in reality, anyone who has been through multiple cycles understands: the ones who truly profit consistently in the market are never the best forecasters, but those who survive the longest.
Look back at those years—
In 2018, some confidently claimed BTC 6000 was the iron bottom, only to watch it plunge all the way to 3000.
In 2022, some believed LUNA would never go to zero, only to see it turn to dust within three days.
In 2025, some thought the ETF approval would lead to a straight rally, only to be taught a harsh lesson by reality.
The beauty of the cycle lies precisely here:
It rewards those who follow the trend time and again, and it eliminates those who are overconfident over and over.
The most common phrase retail investors say is:
"Just hold a little longer, and you'll break even."
As a result, a 10% unrealized loss turns into 50%, and then they start comforting themselves with faith.
In the market, the most expensive thing isn't the trading fees—
it's the fantasies you refuse to let go of.
What truly mature traders do is actually quite simple:
When the trend is clear, go with the flow;
When risk comes, strictly control position size;
When the direction is unclear, actively reduce exposure.
Because they know there will always be another opportunity in the next cycle,
but once your capital is gone, there truly is no next time.
Recently, BTC broke below the 60k mark, and market sentiment has clearly turned cold,
with many starting to worry that the bull market is saying goodbye.
But I've always felt that instead of agonizing over whether it's a "bull" or "bear,"
it's better to ask yourself—
When the next real trend comes, will you still be here?
The cycle has never truly left.
What truly leaves are only those accounts that have been cleared out by the market. $LAB
