According to a report by Bitcoin.com, a joint operation codenamed “Endgame” was recently led by Europol, with the outcome of close cooperation among law enforcement agencies in Canada, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, and the United States. These agencies jointly targeted the network infrastructure that provides services to criminals, using three key “cybercrime-as-a-service” (CaaS) malware programs—SocGholish, Amadey, and StealC—to collect victims’ information and sensitive data. Law enforcement agencies took action against 326 servers and 142 domains, seizing illegal cryptocurrencies worth approximately $47 million and recovering more than 27 million stolen credentials.
