On June 26, local time, tech journalist Mark Gurman reported that Apple's rumored touchscreen MacBook Pro will be released later this year or in early 2027, debuting with the current M5 Pro and M5 Max chips. Apple subsequently plans to launch an upgraded version equipped with the M7 chip, which aligns with previous reports that Apple would skip the M6 Pro and M6 Max and directly launch the M7 series. Apple's decision to skip the high-end M6 chips is believed to be closely related to cost pressures caused by memory shortages, leading Apple to announce price increases for Mac and iPad products this week.
