DOJ Seizes Huione Cloud Account in Crypto Laundering Crackdown

The DOJ seized a cloud computing account used by Huione Group subsidiaries amid cybercrime losses that the FBI put above $20 billion for Americans last year. The DOJ says the account hosted backend infrastructure for services that allegedly helped move proceeds from crypto investment frauds, cyber scams, and other crimes. The FBI said reported cybercrime losses rose 26% in a single year.
