US Vice President Vance warned that Iran would face military retaliation if Iran resorts to violence after the US military launched airstrikes against Iran on the 26th. Vance said Iran signed the ceasefire agreement and the United States had honored it. US Central Command said the strikes responded to an attack on a commercial vessel passing through the Strait of Hormuz the previous day.
