Mars Finance News, June 27 - Research institution Silicon Data released data pointing out that the widespread adoption of cheap open-source models has led to a decline in H100 GPU spot rental prices and a drop in the token price index. However, the institution believes this does not represent an overall decrease in AI demand, and notes that the massive shift of users to cheap open-source models has instead driven an increase in overall computing consumption, sustaining demand for high-end computing resources.
