National Bureau of Statistics: From January to May, profits in the electronic special materials manufacturing and electronic circuit manufacturing industries increased by 665.4% and 19.7% respectively.
Yu Weining said that profits of high-tech manufacturing maintained double-digit growth. From January to May, profits of high-tech manufacturing above designated size increased by 44.7% year-on-year, driving the profit growth of all industrial enterprises above designated size by 8.0 percentage points, with the leading role continuing to stand out.
By industry, the development of the semiconductor industry chain is improving. In terms of electronic device manufacturing, profits of optoelectronic device manufacturing and semiconductor discrete device manufacturing increased by 53.8% and 40.6% respectively; in terms of electronic components and electronic special materials manufacturing, profits of electronic special material manufacturing and electronic circuit manufacturing increased by 665.4% and 19.7% respectively.
Profits of industries related to medical equipment and devices grew rapidly. Profits of dental equipment and appliance manufacturing, and sanitary materials and medical supplies manufacturing increased by 26.4% and 23.2% respectively. (Cailianshe)
