Micron executives slam Apple's pricing model: chip costs rise by $45, terminal markup adds $250.

Jinse Finance reports that on June 27, an overseas financial and investment influencer account on social media revealed that Micron Technology executives publicly criticized Apple’s pricing model: For over a decade, Apple has long purchased memory chips for $5, simply packaged them, and then sold storage upgrades to consumers for $99, even mocking Micron for wanting to raise the unit price to $7. Now that the chip procurement price has risen to $50, Apple directly adds $250 to consumers, passing on the cost pressure several times over to users.
