Mars Finance News, the MiCA regulation will officially take effect on July 1, 2026, and crypto service providers without this license will not be able to offer new services in the EU. Currently, a total of 230 MiCA licenses have been issued in Europe, with Germany leading with 56 authorizations, followed by the Netherlands with 26, France with 21, Malta with 15, Cyprus with 13, and Ireland with 12. In France, about 40% of previously regulated crypto service providers did not submit license applications. This upgrade in compliance requirements has led some smaller traditional crypto institutions to face acquisition or closure.
