Can we retire this whole “professionalism” performance?

Why can’t people just act like actual human beings with real emotions instead of putting on the same polished corporate mask every day?
Somewhere along the way, being genuine became “unprofessional,” while sounding robotic became the standard.
Maybe we’d communicate a lot better if honesty mattered more than appearances.
