UAE and Iranian foreign ministers discuss regional situation in phone call

Jin10 News reported that on June 27, UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan spoke by phone on June 26 with Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi to exchange views on developments in the regional situation after the United States and Iran reached a memorandum of understanding. Abdullah said that all parties should fully comply with the terms of the agreement, ensure that hostile actions in the region are immediately and completely halted, respect the principles of national sovereignty and good-neighborliness, abide by international law, and safeguard the safety of sea lanes and freedom of international navigation, including ensuring the smooth flow of shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. He said he hopes that the ongoing negotiations between the U.S. and Iran will achieve positive outcomes and help achieve lasting security and stability in the region, and emphasized that conducting serious diplomatic efforts and engaging in responsible dialogue is the best way to resolve regional and international crises.
