FEHD announced that as of yesterday, among the eateries that have been allocated quotas through the lottery result to allow dogs to enter, 833 have completed the relevant procedures and may allow dogs to enter starting July 9. The list has been uploaded to the FEHD thematic webpage.

A spokesperson for FEHD said that as some successful applicant eateries withdraw their applications or fail to complete the procedures for various reasons, FEHD will allocate the vacant quotas in order to the backup applicants based on the previous lottery result.

The department has been notifying those backup applicants via mobile phone text messages and has arranged dedicated personnel to visit the relevant eateries in batches starting today to deliver approval letters to the responsible persons.

Backup applicants allocated vacant quotas must bring the approval letter and the original copy of the existing eatery license to any license issuance office listed in the approval letter on or before July 7 to pay HK$140 to amend the license and add the permission.
