Deep Tide TechFlow News, June 26 – According to a report by Russian news agency TASS, the Russian Ministry of Energy has drafted a government decree proposing a ban on digital currency mining in Moscow, Moscow Oblast, and parts of Kursk Oblast (including Belovsky, Sudzha, and 8 other municipal districts, as well as the town of Lgov) from July 1, 2026 to December 31, 2032. Previously, the Russian government had already imposed mining bans in multiple regions including Buryatia, Transbaikal, and the North Caucasus, with the scope of restrictions continuing to expand. Currently, Moscow and Moscow Oblast are connected to 65 data centers with a total installed capacity of 734 megawatts.
