According to TASS, Russia's Ministry of Energy has drafted a government resolution proposing a ban on cryptocurrency mining in Moscow, the Moscow region, and parts of the Kursk region starting July 1, 2026, with the ban expected to last until December 31, 2032. Previously, the Russian government's Electric Power Development Committee recommended implementing this ban in May of this year.
