Billionaire investor Jeremy Grantham predicts that Bitcoin will “gradually disappear,” down 52% from its October 2025 peak. On CNBC’s Squawk Box on Friday, the billionaire investor and GMO co-founder once again criticized Bitcoin, predicting that it will gradually fade out and die out over the coming decades. Grantham said Bitcoin is a “useless, speculative” asset with no intrinsic value, and that it is inferior to gold. He noted that Bitcoin lacks real-world utility, and that people won’t use it for serious trading or everyday purchases. Bitcoin is currently trading about 52% lower than its October 2025 peak, hovering below $60,000, and it has fallen at least 70% from its peak in every market cycle.
