Franklin Templeton completes the acquisition of 250 Digital and officially establishes its Franklin Crypto crypto asset management division

Franklin Templeton (Franklin Templeton) announced that it has completed its acquisition of crypto investment management company 250 Digital. The deal includes the 250 Digital investment team and all liquid crypto strategies previously operated by CoinFund, and Franklin Templeton will inject capital into these strategies.
With the transaction completed, Franklin Templeton officially established its dedicated crypto asset management division, Franklin Crypto. 250 Digital co-founder Christopher Perkins serves as the head, Seth Ginns serves as the Chief Investment Officer, and the division is jointly managed with Tony Pecore from Franklin Templeton’s digital assets team, reporting to Sandy Kaul, head of the company’s innovation business.
Franklin Crypto will provide actively managed crypto strategies to institutional investors.
Franklin Templeton previously announced in April 2026 the acquisition of 250 Digital, a spin-off company of CoinFund, a venture capital firm, to expand its cryptocurrency investment business.
After the acquisition transaction is completed, Franklin Templeton will launch a crypto division focused on serving pension funds and sovereign wealth funds and will name it “Franklin Crypto.”
