U.S. PCE Tops 4% as Markets Price September Fed Hike

U.S. Department of Commerce data showed the U.S. PCE price index for May rose at a 4.1% annual rate. The annual rate topped 4.0% for the first time in three years. The Federal Reserve kept interest rates unchanged last week in the 3.50%-3.75% range. Financial markets are betting on a possible rate hike as early as September.
