I seriously suspect that a cousin of mine was tricked into going to northern Myanmar to engage in scams.

He has been missing for an entire year, and the whole family has searched everywhere, still with no clues.
At first, when we called him, the call would go through, but no one ever answered.
Later, he probably set his phone to do not disturb, and now when we call, it rings once and then hangs up directly.
Almost all of his relatives have been blocked or deleted by him, except for one family member's friend who still hasn't been deleted, but messages sent to him never get a reply.
Is he still alive?
Has his number been taken over by someone else?
