Apple's 10% price increase on the surface looks like consumer electronics price hike, but in reality, it's the spillover of AI costs.


AI data centers are consuming capacities of memory, HBM, NAND, advanced packaging, etc., and eventually even Apple, the company with the strongest supply chain capability, has to pass the cost onto consumers.
This is not that AI demand is weak, but that AI is too strong.
But the next thing to watch is: whether users are willing to buy more expensive devices for on-device AI, i.e., whether sales volume will decrease.
