Jinse Finance reports that on June 25, Iran proposed charging neighboring Gulf countries a service fee for the Strait of Hormuz. Iran estimates this would generate $40 billion annually in revenue for the countries involved. Iran hopes to share and negotiate the strait’s revenue with other countries (The Wall Street Journal).
