Abstract generation in progress
Gate.io News: Google has launched Study Notebooks, a learning space in its Gemini app, aimed at students. The feature has been rolled out globally on the web, and access for the mobile version and school accounts will be opened later this summer. Users can upload course outlines, class notes, or reading materials. Gemini then generates customized diagnostic quizzes to assess an academic baseline and, based on the quiz results, provides targeted micro-courses and practice questions. Gemini breaks down learning goals into more than 100 specific objectives, and categorizes them in real time on the skills progress dashboard as “Strengths,” “Focus Areas,” or “Not Started.” The dashboard automatically updates based on subsequent test scores and recommends high-priority learning tasks. Study Notebooks connects to authoritative questions from The Princeton Review. It helps users prepare for the SAT, and the test-prep scope will be expanded to include JEE, NEET, ENEM, ACT, and GRE.

Integrating the Princeton Review question bank for the SAT is a smart entry point. If JEE/NEET and other Asian top-tier competitive exams are truly localized well, the Indian and Southeast Asian markets will take off directly.

Gemini is directly entering the education track. Study Notebooks packages diagnostic tests + micro-courses + progress dashboards, making Khan Academy and Quizlet feel nervous.

More than 100 learning objectives broken down + real-time classification dashboard, this granularity is much finer than my own Excel sheet, but the school account won't be opened until summer. If you need it urgently, you can only use the web version for now.
