Micron's boss directly stated that memory chips will be in "super shortage" over the next two to three years. How will this affect the world?

1) Making AI chips cuts off the livelihood of ordinary chips.
HBM (AI memory) consumes wafer capacity extremely. For example, this piece of land used to be able to build 10 affordable housing buildings (phone and computer memory), but now it's all used to build one super luxury villa (AI memory). The result is that whether you buy AI devices or not, your phones, computers, and hard drives will soon face a "panic-driven price surge."
2) Robots are the real "money-eating beasts."
"The memory required for a humanoid robot in the future will be 10 times that of today's smart cars!" What does that mean? One robot consumes as much memory as 10 cars and hundreds of phones! In a few years, when tens of millions of robots are sweeping streets and screwing bolts, the memory factories' printing presses will be smoking.

3) The end of computing power is actually bottlenecked by memory.
People used to think Nvidia was amazing, but now they've realized that no matter how fast the GPU (brain) runs, if the memory (memory) is like a goldfish, AI is still an idiot. Current AI large models are already bottlenecked by memory capacity, which means memory manufacturers now hold absolute "pricing hegemony" and can raise prices however they want.
