Anthropic urged Congress to strengthen protections against AI model distillation after alleging Alibaba-affiliated operators generated more than 28.8 million Claude exchanges. Anthropic said nearly 25,000 fraudulent accounts were used between April 22 and June 5. Anthropic asked lawmakers to expand intelligence sharing and tighten export controls.
