Deep Chao TechFlow message: On June 26, Base resumed block production and transaction processing this morning after an interruption of about 2 hours. Base said that the mainnet sequencer and related systems have now stabilized, block production is running normally, and the widespread synchronization issues across the ecosystem have basically been resolved.
The root cause of this incident has been identified: a consensus issue triggered by an anomalous block that prevented the generation of new blocks after block 47806542. The official statement says that nodes still stuck at that block can recover by restarting and resynchronizing. The team is verifying the fix to prevent similar issues from happening again, and will publish a complete incident post-mortem and root-cause analysis report in a later update.
