Jinse Finance reports that on June 26, the Iranian Strait of Hormuz Administration announced on social media on the evening of June 25 local time that all vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz must pass through in accordance with the prescribed routes and procedures. Vessels that leave the designated routes without authorization will not enjoy safety guarantees or related insurance coverage. All consequences arising from this will be borne solely by the ship owner, operator, and captain.

Iran previously stated that within the time frame specified in the Iran–US memorandum of understanding, any vessels that, as required, submit transit applications to the Strait of Hormuz Administration for the Persian Gulf strait will have their transit arrangements handled promptly. The relevant requirements include submitting an application 48 hours before arriving in the strait area, and coordinating routes and transit time slots in advance, among others.
