True prayer comes from a present heart, not just moving lips.

It does not demand, but humbly begs. It is not in a hurry, but trusts in God's most perfect timing. True prayer is honest, mentioning fear, longing, weariness, and hope without hiding.

Prayer also needs etiquette. It begins with gratitude, followed by seeking forgiveness, then requests, and ends with reliance on God. Because the outcome is not our concern, our concern is to sincerely ask.

True prayer changes the heart before changing the circumstances. It calms, strengthens, and reminds you that you are never alone.

Pray like a child to his father, confident of being heard, confident of being loved, even if the answer comes in a different form.
