U.S. Department of Defense: "Golden Dome" system's first test successful

Gold Finance reported on June 25 that, according to the Russian newspaper Kommersant's website on June 25, the U.S. Department of Defense announced it had completed testing of a component of the "Golden Dome" missile defense system, using laser and microwave kill weapons in the tests. U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth personally attended the first test of the "Golden Dome" system and disclosed the relevant information. He wrote on social platform X: "Today, the first test of the 'Golden Dome' system was a complete success." In January 2025, U.S. President Donald Trump signed an order to establish a global multi-layered missile defense system called "Golden Dome." The complete architecture of the "Golden Dome" is quite large. According to U.S. documents and statements from Pentagon officials, the system should integrate existing missile defense capabilities, new early warning systems, directed energy weapons, and space-based detection and interception capabilities.
