Confusingly, data shows that long-term Bitcoin holders currently control 79% of the circulating supply, a record high, making the available Bitcoin supply for trading increasingly tight.

But if the circulating supply is becoming smaller, why is BTC still falling? Could it be that the actual quantity is much larger? For example, are the Bitcoins being dumped on various exchanges real BTC? There aren't many fabricated Bitcoins, right? I remember a Korean exchange once messed up the digital unit and mistakenly credited user balances with BTC far exceeding its reserves.
