Why are the matches in the final days of the World Cup all played simultaneously?

The "Disgrace of Gijón" in 1982
The final round of the 1982 World Cup group stage: West Germany vs. Austria
As long as West Germany won by 1-0 or a small margin, both teams would advance together, eliminating Algeria
After West Germany scored in the 10th minute, both sides almost stopped playing seriously, only "passing and walking" on the field, as the angry audience whistled and threw objects
This match was widely condemned worldwide as a "disgrace"
Therefore, FIFA ruled from the 1986 World Cup onwards that the final round of group stage matches in the same group must be played simultaneously. This rule has been used ever since.
