First principles thinking is really an important mode of thinking.



Regarding a growth problem, I had no ideas before. Later, I realized that I was actually combining two goals into one, which led to very confused logic and solutions that were completely off target.

This afternoon, I reorganized the North Star metric, and my mind became much clearer. Solutions also emerged.

So, the reason we most often don't have solutions is because we haven't clearly defined the problem and understood the true goal.
