OpenAI quota and subscription system experiencing widespread anomalies: users suddenly receive 20x quota while API rate limiting intensifies

Coin World News, ChatGPT subscription and quota system under OpenAI has experienced widespread anomalies, causing confusion in usage quotas and model permissions for users of different tiers. Some Plus subscribers suddenly see their interface displaying a 20x level, gaining the high-quota permissions originally belonging to Pro subscriptions. At the same time, some Pro subscribers paying $200 per month find that their account usage quotas have been abnormally reset to 75%, or the quota limit has been directly increased by 4 times. The system failure also affects model usage permissions. A large number of Pro subscribers report that although their account subscription status shows Pro, the actual usage performance has been downgraded to the Plus level, and the GPT-5.5 Pro flagship reasoning model cannot be found in the model selection list. As of now, the OpenAI official status page only marks the issue as users possibly encountering problems when using the Codex access token, and states that mitigation measures have been implemented. The official has not publicly acknowledged or explained the synchronization anomalies between quota calculation and account tier experienced by ChatGPT subscribers. The community generally believes that back-end rate calculation and synchronization logic failures are the underlying reasons for rapid quota depletion and abnormal rate limiting.

OpenAI's system glitch is a bit ridiculous. Plus users suddenly got Pro permissions, while Pro users were downgraded instead. Is this a reverse upgrade?
