Reference Annual Percentage Rate (APR): Although displayed as 12.63% APR, Gate's official documentation mentions that the on-chain staking APR is approximately 13.61%. Gate adjusts the rate daily based on the remaining reward budget and total effective USD1 assets.

Minimum Amount: You can start with 1 USD1.

Interest begins accruing the day after you initiate staking.

Rewards are distributed daily and automatically allocated in USD1.

No lock-up period. You can withdraw your assets at any time; funds will be available the next day.

To calculate rewards, Gate takes snapshots of your USD1 balance in trading/spot/contract accounts 24 times per day and calculates the average asset amount. Tokens held in flexible or fixed savings accounts are not included in this calculation.

Soft Staking: Up to 8% APR.

On-Chain Staking: Up to 10% APR according to some announcements, although the currently advertised yield is higher — approximately 13.61% APR.

USD1 Dual Yield Plan: A flexible plan offering an additional 10% APY (Annual Percentage Yield), or a 7-day fixed plan offering 8% APY.

Key Points to Know Before Staking

1. Difference between APR and APY: APR refers to simple interest, APY refers to compound interest. Daily compounding means that if you reinvest your rewards, the actual yield will be slightly higher than the APR. 2. Rates are not fixed: Annualized yields may fluctuate based on participation and on-chain returns. The 10.69% or 12.63% rate you see today may decrease.
